New Publication: Special Issue edited by Mouez Khalfaoui & Justin Jones
EJIMEL has published a special issue edited by Prof. Dr. Mouez Khalfaoui (University of Tuebingen) and Prof. Dr. Justin Jones (University of Oxford) with the title Islamic Family Law in Europe and Islamic World: Current Situation and Challenges.
The different paper included in this issue discuss - in different ways - the dynamics of Muslim matrimonial laws (marriage, divorce and cognate issues), as they are debated and developing in thought and practice both in Muslim-majority states and among Muslims in European states. They examine the challenges in Islamic family law faced by all sides, as well as the solutions to these challenges that are at our disposal.
